The Strip has an almost endless list of places where you can watch live music, from tiny casino lounges to massive Colosseum stages and everything in between. But Downtown Las Vegas has been sorely lacking in such venues save for the antiquated, traditional showrooms at places like The Golden Nugget or Plaza, which don’t book cutting edge acts.

Enter the Fremont Country Club, Downtown’s first legitimate concert venue.

Built in what used to be a Sears department store, the 10,000 square-foot concert hall has a big stage, a massive bar dominating one wall, and lots of room for people to stand, dance, or sit in VIP booths.
