What is it?

A rowdy roadhouse of a joint that isn’t as threatening as it may appear (yes, those are actual bikers but they aren’t going to bother you unless you bother them first).

Where is it?

In Downtown Las Vegas, just a few steps away from The Mob Museum.

What kind of crowd does it draw?

Quite a mix with a lot of locals and people of all ages, however this is not a place that will tolerate the stand and pose type attitude you’ll find at most trendy nightclubs. It’s a lot more working class and relaxed than that.

What are the prices like?

Very reasonable. There is rarely a cover and drink prices are not too far afield from your neighborhood bar.

When is the best time to go?

Weekend days and evenings bring out the biggest crowds.

Why should I go here?

Because you want a less-processed, relatively laid back place to throw back a drink or twelve.

What else do I need to know?

Even though there is a Coyote Ugly branded bar at New York-New York (and elsewhere in the world), the New York City version of Hogs & Heifers was the actual inspiration for the film.

What’s the bottom line?

A rowdy good time.
