Hugo’s Cellar

What is it?

One of the few gourmet places in downtown and it features a romantic atmosphere that is a favorite among locals.

Where is it?

At the Four Queens in Downtown Las Vegas.

What kind of food is served?

Mainly steakhouse fare (beef, chicken, seafood) but with a few twists like lamb and duck. The food isn’t terribly special but the presentation is – much of the service is done at tableside with flair.

What is the atmosphere like?

Appropriately, it is in the cellar but not cold or dank. Instead it is dimly lit, warm, and romantic with each female guest receiving a red rose upon seating.

How is the service?

As mentioned above, quite fun and always on the ball.

What are the prices like?

Expensive and we think there are other places that do this kind of thing better – but not many in the downtown area.

What else do I need to know?

On your way out, stop at the blackjack tables. The dealers at the Four Queens are among the nicest in town.

What’s the bottom line?

A Vegas classic.
