What is it?

A 4,600-seat arena that features equestrian events from riding competitions to rodeos. They have 1,200 climate controlled horse stalls that are pretty swank. Note… this facility does not offer horseback riding to the public nor does it have tours or general horse boarding. It is only for going to watch equestrian events.

Where is it?

At the South Point Hotel & Casino about six miles south of Mandalay Bay on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Is it worth the cost?

Prices to watch the events depend on the event but there is very little else like it in town so if you are fan of watching rodeos and the like, it’s totally worth it.

Why should I go here?

Because you enjoy watching people get knocked off of horses and bulls.

What else do I need to know?

There is a giant statue of a horse and rider in the hall leading from the casino to the arena. That’s legendary casino magnate Benny Binion, who was an avid horseman. His family donated the statue to the hotel and it was so big they had to cut a hole in the wall to get it inside.

What’s the bottom line?

Yeehaw! Get along little doggie!
